Snow College Diversity Scholarship 2012-2013

Criteria: This scholarship is available to full and part-time students. Students are required to be registered for at least 6 credit hours. Additionally, priority consideration will be given to students with at least a 2.5 cumulative GPA and based on the following geographic indicators: (1) Sanpete/Sevier Counties; (2) Juab, Millard, Piute, Wayne Counties; (3) All other Utah Residents; (4) US Citizens.

American Planning Association High School Essay Contest

Criteria: The purpose of this scholarship is to encourage and foster increased minority interest in the study of urban planning. Students that intend on enrolling in an approved Planning Accreditation Board (PAB) planning program who are citizens of the United States, and intend to pursue a career as practicing planners in the public sector, and are able to demonstrate a genuine financial need are eligible to apply for this scholarship.

Kappa Delta Chi High School Scholarship 2012-2013

Criteria: The National Foundation – Kappa Delta Chi Sorority, Inc. High School Scholarship was established in 1999 to assist graduating high school women, regardless of academic discipline, who have demonstrated a strong commitment to academics and community service. This scholarship is solely for female and current high school seniors. Applicants must attend a four-year college/university in the 2012-2013 Academic Year. Applicants must not be related to any member of the Kappa Delta Chi National Foundation Board of Directors or Scholarship Selection Committee.

Amount: This scholarship is available on a competitive basis and is a one-time award ranging from $500-$1,000 for the 2012-2013 academic year.

Central Utah Water Conservancy District Essay Contest

Criteria: Students ages 13-18 should write an essay ‘analyzing and explaining what you think the single greatest challenge is to water conservation and make recommendations for how leaders can influence citizens to overcome it.

BYU Management Society Scholarship-For Any Utah College/University

Criteria: The BYU Management Society – Salt Lake City Chapter will be awarding several scholarships in 2011 to candidates who demonstrate financial need, academic excellence, leadership and positive community or religious service. Applicants must be enrolled as a high school senior in the Salt Lake or Davis Counties, planning to start their first year of college in fall of 2011, and be a resident of Salt Lake of Davis Counties. Olene Walker Transition to Adult Living Scholarship 2012-2013

Description: The scholarship is designed to assist qualified youth who are transitioning out of state foster care to complete a post-secondary education program (degree or certificate) at one of the Utah System of Higher Education institutions. The scholarship is sponsored by private donors in partnership with the Utah Educational Savings Plan. Applicants will be selected based on their strong desire to complete a post-secondary program of study, potential for academic success, and financial need. Students who are awarded the scholarship are required to participate in extra-curricular activities and meet regularly with a mentor.
Amount: The maximum yearly scholarship award is $5,000 for full-time enrollment (12 or
more credit hours), $3,750 for three quarters-time enrollment (9–11 hours), and $2,500 for part-time enrollment (6–8 hours). The scholarship may be renewed up to four years depending on satisfactory academic progress and availability of funds. Students must re-apply each year to renew the scholarship.
